Ghosts of Girlfriends THE PAST

Synopsis The Ghosts of Girlfriends THE PAST- Connor Mead (Matthew McConaughey) is a type of man who has no feelings. Connor, who worked as a celebrity photographer could not establish a relationship long enough to end up in a marriage. Everything went normal for Connor to one when he got a visit that will not forget for life. Connor's reputation as a playboy could make the whole family to worry especially when Paul (Breckin Meyer), younger brother Connor, plans to marry. Paul wished he had changed and will give him support for his decision to marry. Unfortunately this idea was only made Paul's wedding plans fall apart just so caused Connor did not appreciate the word love.

In this juncture, all of a sudden he visited 'ghost' of the past Connor. 'Ghost Connor's ex-girlfriend' (Emma Stone) and 'ghost boyfriend Connor' (Noureen DeWulf) came and took Connor through a 'journey' through the beginning of the problems that made Connor no longer believe in the word love. 'The ghost' is hoping to bring Connor to the meaning of a relationship though, of course, it all depends on Connor himself. If you are a fan of one of the classic stories, you'll remember the story of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol called a coincidence right now ported wide screen with Jim Carrey as a star. Yes, this movie is a classic story that inspired the idea, although it is now presented in modern format.

Moral message to convey is that the bad things in the past may have valuable lessons for the future does not repeat that mistake again. There is nothing implicit in the delivery of this moral message. Everything is told vividly with the seasoning of humor here and there. Unfortunately not too much humor is quite effective and more just feels as patches. About acting, Matthew McConaughey looks very convincing as a man who was annoying but unfortunately labeled a playboy who carried the character he perankan he could not well defined through the said words and gestures. Worse, there is no chemistry between the characters that he perankan the character played by Jennifer Garner when it should be two people are couples who love each other but separated by different worldviews.

Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Emma Stone, Noureen DeWulf, Breckin Meyer, Lacey Chabert
